The Medina County Animal Shelter (sic) is giving up its gas chamber, which will be destroyed this month with your help.

All due props to the Medina County SPCA for taking on the inhumane euthanasia tactics at this “shelter.” Stephanie Moore, director of that local SPCA chapter, says that anyone who donates cash or kitten formula/food to her organization will get a chance to take shots the gas chamber before it’s carted off to the scrapyard. She and her team (including the willful Mary Jo Johnson) will provide safety goggles and sledge hammers, though giddy participants may bring their own punitive hardware, as well.

The fun goes down from 2 – 3 p.m. March 22. Public viewings of the condemned chamber will begin at 1 p.m. at the SPCA’s unassuming headquarters: 245 Medina St.
