The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is about to get a facelift.

Cleveland.com reports that the Rock Hall has announced plans to redo its entry plaza and add green grass, new lighting, picnic tables, a concert stage and an outdoor café. Big red metal letters will spell out "Long Live Rock."

These plans head to the Downtown/Flats Design Review Committee on Thursday and the City Planning Commission on Friday. Plans to redesign main exhibit areas are also in the works.

The plaza’s facelift will complement ROCK BOX, a permanent outdoor installation that will pay tribute to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. That project involves placing multiple clusters of custom speakers throughout downtown Cleveland. Conceived by Cleveland Institute of Art graduate Mark Reigelman, ROCK BOX aims to “combine visual and auditory experiences in a series of compositions” along East 9th Street.

The Rock Hall hopes to have Phase 1 finished by early summer for the Republican National Convention when the Rock Hall will be the epicenter for many RNC meetings and parties.
