Karamu’s production of Black Nativity opens tonight, and if you’ve never seen this annual favorite, do yourself a favor and check it out. It’s one of the area’s best seasonal offerings. Cleveland Contemporary Theatre dancers Michael Medcalf and Kathleen Turner star as Joseph and Mary in Langston Hughes’ musical telling of the birth of Jesus — complete with a black cast and gospel faves like “Go Tell It on the Mountain.”
