Unifying Art, Life, and Love. Fresh off receiving a 2013 Governor's Award for the Arts, the 94-year-old Joseph O'Sickey displays a sweeping retrospective of 160 works, tracing the evolution of his energetic, fluorescent-colored style. The Beecher Center at The Butler Institute of Tap, Crack, Bellow. Gray's AuctioneersFine Art, Antique, and Decorative Art Auction. A diverse catalogue of items, including original works by internationally recognized historic artists Montague Dawson, Jacob Lawrence and Käthe Kollwitz. I Am A Monster. In new works by CIA graduate Nathan Margoni uses stitches tube socks, stuffed animals, hot glue, and hair into blown-up images of grotesque or creepy characters. They are meant to offer the catharsis in their horror, an escape from our own failings and expectations. Time Squared. In this retrospective survey from the last two decades, Virgie Ezelle Patton displays gold-and-umber colored portraits and figures which lend tremendous dignity to their subjects, and the titular multimedia piece chronicling the personal, familial, and professional life of the artist.
