New Yorker Mike Dambra headed north for fame and fortune several years ago. Soon, he was a hit on the Canadian stand-up circuit — where he claims to rank as one of its top three highest-grossing comics for five straight years. All I hear is How you doing, eh? Whats going on, eh? Eh? Eh? Eh? he says. I think, as Americans, we should start saying B. Mexicans say Si. Dambras stage act thrives on audience participation. He often interacts with his fans. It comes from being the kid who sang and danced in school, he says. I always got zapped by the jocks. So I learned if I kept them laughing, theyd hang out with me. These days, the comedian spends his spare time maintaining his MySpace page. But he recently discovered MySpace has a few drawbacks. A girl that I dated 25 years ago showed up out of nowhere, he says. They even started going out again — before it all got really weird with ex-boyfriends and ex-girlfriends. But I like talking about it, because people can laugh at it.
