Art Interprets Alzheimer's. Sculptor and potter George Roby and portrait artist Herbert Ascherman raise awareness for the Alzheimer's Association's Cleveland chapter by exploring the ravages of the disease on its victims and their families. Breakneck Gallery: 3D ART Show. Never one to let James Cameron have all the fun, Breakneck hosts 15 local artists transposing cinematic 3D visual effects onto painting, photography, sculpture, and more. Cleveland Artists Foundation: Unchallenged Workmanship. Marking the centennial anniversary of the founding of the Modernist ceramics studio Cowan Pottery, this show displays works by local luminaries like Viktor Schreckengost, Alexander Blazys, and Elsa Vick Shaw. Cleveland Institute of Art: Art of Scale & Form. Recently retired CIA sculpture professor Barbara Stanczak displays a selection of her work from the last two decades, revisiting creations that complicated or made paradoxes of the relationship between visual and tactile experience. Rhode Islander David Cole presents a two-ton music box rebuilt from the parts of an industrial compactor. An opening reception will be held March 30 from 6 to 8 p.m., and the exhibition will run through May 18. Also: The Cuba Project. Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory: The Mirror Never Breaks. Negative Space: Cardio Art. Jose Vasquez brings his experience as both an artist and a professional telemetry technician to his series of paintings of the human heart, which emphasize the organ's vital rhythms.
