You gotta be able to do more than yell sis boom bah to be part of the Cleveland Lions Top Cats Cheerleading Squad. At todays auditions, organizers are looking for catwalk-ready girls. Modeling experience is a plus, says Holly Brannan, the squads director. You have to have the whole package — how you present your hair, makeup, and outfit.
If you make the 12-woman squad, youll be required to practice twice a week between May and September and cheer at the semipro Mid Continental Football League teams six home games in Berea this summer. Youll also have to show some skin in the teams annual swimsuit calendar. Theres a lot of competition to make the team a success, says Brannan, a former Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader. My goal is to make this as closely resemble an NFL squad as possible.
