On their latest CD, Every Second Counts, Chicago emo pinups the Plain White T’s completely embody TRL’s pop-punk-lovin’ demo. Songs like “Friends Don’t Let Friends Dial Drunk” and “Hate (I Really Don’t Like You)” get tangled in myriad emotions — just like your average teen. Love, anger, and jealousy top the list, but many shades of confusion also permeate the grooves. Be sure to get to tonight’s House of Blues show early to see Lovedrug, the Canton indie-rockers who make a big noise onstage. They aim for the cheap seats on the new Everything Starts Where It Ends, which features arena-sized riffs and plenty of prog-like signposts.
