Now in its ninth year, the Cleveland Jewish FilmFest features an eclectic lineup of international films and special events. The festival offers a broad selection of feature, documentary and short films with Jewish themes. The festival kicks off tonight with a screening of The Last Mentsch, a movie about an aging Holocaust survivor who struggles to come to terms with his past. It screens at 7 at Shaker Cinemas. Tickets are $18. The festival continues through Oct. 18, and films show at local theaters and venues including Shaker Cinemas, Solon Digiplex and Cedar Lee Cinemas. (Niesel)
