Comedian Dean Edwards likes to joke about how he found his English wife's accent to be sexy when they first met. Now, he says, it just annoys him; and her accent coupled with her Ph.D. makes him feel dumb. He says the fact that his daughters have accents too makes him feel "colonized." It's just one example of how Edwards doesn't rely on shock value. Rather, he creates his narrative-based jokes based on personal experiences. He performs tonight at 7:30 at the Improv, where he has shows scheduled through Sunday. Tickets are $15 to $17. (Niesel)
