Five Iron Golf, a leader in the indoor golf arena, will add a second location of its popular entertainment venue in the Greater Cleveland area. The first opened downtown in 2023. The second is headed to the Van Aken District, in the space formerly home to 1899 Golf and Social Club, which closed this past winter. It is expected to open in late 2025.

Billed as a “first-of-its-kind family entertainment center,” the Shaker Heights venue (20040 Van Aken Blvd.) will combine the Five Iron Golf concept and Detroit Duckpin, which first launched in Five Iron’s downtown Detroit location. So, in addition to the cutting-edge golf simulators and amenities, the venue will feature the newest version of the company’s duckpin concept along with an 18-hole indoor/outdoor miniature golf course.

Duckpin bowling, which continues to grow in popularity across the country, features smaller pins and lighter balls, making the game more fast-paced and family friendly.

The lively social venues also offer entertainment, food and drinks.

“We’re incredibly excited about Shaker Heights,” Nora Dunnan, Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer stated in a release. “This location brings together some of our favorite concepts under one roof and will serve as a true hub for golf and entertainment in the suburbs. We’ve loved becoming part of the Cleveland community, and with two unique but complementary locations, we’re just getting started.”
