Local Industrial/Goth/Alternative Dance Club to Celebrate 20th Anniversary

During the 1980s and 1990s, industrial/Goth/alternative dance clubs sprouted up everywhere. Many have since failed and faded.

Not the Chamber.

Located in the Phantasy Niteclub and Theatre complex in Lakewood, the club has held on. To celebrate its 20th anniversary,  it will throw a huge party that takes place from 9 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. on April 30.

DJ Cable, the guy who created the concept of the club with owner Michele De Frasia in 1996, has organized the event. He’ll also DJ along with Dark Nave (from PKS/Lestat), Heretek (From UV/Shadow Saints) and Larry Szyms. The soundtrack: “a mix of the most popular industiail/goth/alternative songs that have been played since the club’s inception.” Suggested attire: anything black. Tickets are $5. Doors open at 9 p.m.
