Most people know the legendary band from the hit 1980s song “I Ran (So Far Away),” but A Flock of Seagulls is so much more. Mixing space-age sounds and synth-heavy music, the band has built quite the catalog. It came to the Celestia Theater in Wadsworth for a 15-song set recently, opening with “Modern Love Is Automatic.” Mike Score still sounds amazing, staying ultra-focused on every song, while bassist Pando, guitarist Gord Deppe, and drummer Kevin Rankin bring so much energy to the show. Their newer songs are also amazing and sounded fresh, dark, cinematic at the show, and every bit as strong as the classic hits. Here’s all the action we caught.
