To celebrate the end of another all-too-short summer, the folks at Pinecrest, that $230 million mixed-use lifestyle district near the I-271 and Harvard Road exchange in Orange Village that’s home to a Shake Shack, Pinstripes Bowling and the Silverspot Cinemas, will host a Summer Send-Off event in the Central Park lawn at the property's north end from 4 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 8.

The event will focus heavily on music and include a lineup of bands that will play an assortment of original and cover tunes. Notably, the Brooklyn-based funk rock collective Turkuaz will perform with special guest Denny Laine. An original member of the Moody Blues, Laine also played in Wings with Paul McCartney. He was inducted into the Rock Hall earlier this year when the Moody Blues finally made it in.

Turkuaz and Laine will pay tribute to Paul McCartney & Wings with their set, and the night will end with a fireworks show.
