Women Artists Night at the Winchester
If you need to kill some time between the Women's Final Four and the Indigo Girls/ ThreeFiveHuman show, check out Women Artists Night at the Winchester. Singer-songwriter Jayne Sachs won the 2005 John Lennon National Songwriting Competition. And the show marks the return of Deb Hunseder (pictured), a former Ohioan who is both half of power-folk duo Halcyon -- think Indigo Girls with beefier sound -- and, playing tunes that are a little more tender, a sometime-solo artist. "I'm not your typical girl-with-guitar up there onstage all night," says Hunseder. "I alternate between the stage and getting out there with a cordless mic, involving unsuspecting customers. And at any given time I might channel Cher." Clevelanders Heidi Longauer and Rebecca Mileti will round out the bill. Think of it as a musical Women's Final Four.
