Euclid drivers on their way home from work yesterday afternoon got stuck in heavy traffic, but not for the usual reasons.
Turns out, one sweet 25-pound turtle was just trying to mind its business and crawl across the intersection of East 228th St. and Lakeshore Blvd. Unfortunately for all involved, turtles aren’t able to dart through traffic with the greatest of ease.
That’s when the Euclid police stepped in, removing the unharmed and clearly fearless reptile from the road and placing it in the much-more-safe-for-turtles Sims Park.
