When administrators down at Hoover High School in North Canton got sick of hearing the rumor mill finger their school as a hotbed of illicit substances, they did what any self-respecting education officials would do in 21st Century America — they called in the K9 unit for a sweep.
The raid went down in January, and the drug-nosing pooches turned up nothing while sniffing through lockers and hallways. But how did the administration award the student body for the drug-free campus? They decided to order up another drug raid, this time, according to Patch, on the cars in the student parking lot.
The second raid was announced at the district meeting last night.
But Hoover High Principal Tony Pallija said a follow-up search of students’ vehicles this spring should reinforce the need for safety and compliance at the school.
“Sometimes they just need friendly reminders,” Pallija said at Wednesday night’s North Canton City Schools Board of Education meeting. “It sends a message to the students and the community that we’re not going to tolerate people bringing drugs into Hoover High School.”
This is pretty idiotic, ask us.

So whats next, urine tests and taking hair samples for analysis ? Maybe give all the students colonoscopies to insure they have their shit together. Some adults are just plain assholes with too much time available for random thoughts of stupidity.
We live in North Canton and the students were told beforehand of this drug sweep so no wonder there were no drugs found. And I am not sure a student would be so stupid as to bring drugs to the school. Do they really think just because no drugs were found the no students take any drugs? This is just a waste of taxpayers money and to try to make this school look clean. The school administration here are all full of themselves.
