An Akron man is accused of trying to swallow a large baggie of cocaine after police pulled him over this afternoon.

Antonio E. Johnson, 33, was apprehended after authorities stopped him on the corner of West North and Valley streets and noticed the man attempting to swallow a bag of cocaine, News Net 5 reported.

Unfortunately for Johnson, he was not as stealthy as he had hoped and the altercation became physical when police approached. The officers used a stun gun on the man to control him.

Johnson’s 14-year-old niece was also in the vehicle, as was a digital scale.

Johnson is charged with possession of cocaine, trafficking in cocaine, tampering with evidence, resisting arrest, drug paraphernalia and child endangering.
