It was only a matter of time until Barroco Grill expanded beyond its Lakewood borders. The wonderful Latin-themed eatery specializing in arepas has been growing steadily in popularity since it opened last spring. Now, owners say they will open a second outpost in the Warehouse District.

Slated to open in approximately two months, Barroco Grill will occupy a portion of the former Lust space on W. Sixth Street. Slightly larger than the original, the restaurant will serve lunch, dinner and late-night dining. A sidewalk patio will offer additional seating come warmer weather.

“I want to keep the same look and feel, the same sauces, but make it a little sharper and faster-paced to serve the lunch crowds,” explains owner Juan Vergara.
