This past Sunday, Bistro on Lincoln Park in Tremont shut its doors for the last time. The three-and-half-year-old Mediterranean bistro, originally opened by chef Pete Joyce, briefly shut down about a year ago to retool.

“We just weren’t doing the numbers,” reports Patrick Brown, manager. “It was floundering when we took it over.”

No word on what’s next for Brown, executive chef Cory Hess, or the beautiful parkside space.

  1. loved the food and the person who greeted you at the door, but it is not a warm and inviting restaurant at all, and half the time, the waitstaff seems to be doing you a favor by waiting on you. They don’t make you feel special to be there, seem aloof and more suited to a job at a private country club than a restaurant struggling to attract clientele in a neighborhood where there are DOZEN great restaurants to choose from within a 5 block walk.
