From Akron to Nashville and, now, northward to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

The Black Keys are hibernating in a North Michigan studio this winter, laying down preliminary tracks for the follow-up to last year’s “El Camino,” according to reports.

Recording will pick up again in Nashville late next year, with a hopeful collaboration with producer Danger Mouse.

On a related note, The Black Keys shared the stage with The Rolling Stones this past weekend to play “Who Do You Love.” Dig the video below.
