Daniel Harless is the Canton cop who made a name, face, and vulgarity-laced tongue for himself when video of his berserk treatment of a suspect during a concealed carry arrest made the media rounds.

(You can catch up on all the background to that incident here.)

Now the Canton Repository reports that Harless is under investigation for a second incident, this time from back in July 2010. While the incidents have their similarities — namely Harless spewing extremely graphic threats about blowing people’s heads off — this one is also completely different.

Harless and his partner had pulled over a suspected drunk driver. In the backseat, Harless saw a passenger with a weapon near their foot. The passenger did not have a concealed carry, nor did anyone in the car attempt to tell Harless that a weapon was in the vehicle. Slightly more cause for concern, though Harless could work on his bedside manner.

  1. This waste of a human being and the air that I breath needs to be put out to pasture. No union protection, no administrative leave, no eating up his 790 hours of sick time…JUST FIRED and charged

  2. I remember a TV show that would have been better if the cop’s catch phrase was, “Book this mother-%#$! before I blow if $#%@! head off and spit on his %#$!@* grave, Dan-O.”
