They were quick, but the thunderstorms that ripped through the area Sunday afternoon were enough to temporarily close Cedar Point on Monday.
The park said it’ll be reopening on Tuesday. It closed at 7 p.m. Sunday due to a power outage caused by the storm. At least six utility poles along the causeway were knocked down, and downed trees and power lines caused more damage in the park and around Sandusky.
Most power to the park was restored late Sunday evening. Ohio Edison says full power in the park should be restored on Tuesday, and at least 30 crews are working to finish repairs by the evening.
