Of the four local chefs nominated for the 2013 James Beard Awards back in February, only one made it through to the final round. Jonathon Sawyer of Greenhouse Tavern and Noodlecat restaurants has officially been nominated for a James Beard Award in the category of Best Chef: Great Lakes.

Though Michael Symon (Outstanding Chef), Matt Danko (Outstanding Pastry Chef), and Zack Bruell (Best Chef: Great Lakes) all received semifinalist nods, none received a slot in the finals.

When the coveted food award ceremony takes place in New York the weekend of May 3, Sawyer will be the lone chef representing Cleveland.

The results were announced this morning via live stream on Eater.com.
