(Original story 6/27/19): Cleveland has now officially reached peak pop-up-bar-aimed-at-nostalgic-Millennials. Just last week, we announced a temporary ball-pit bar is coming to our city this fall. Also headed down the pike are a pop-up Lego Bar and a Mario Kart race.

Today, we got the dates for Cleveland’s upcoming Pokemon-themed pop-up PokeBar.

From Oct. 5 to 6 and 12 to 13, Pokemon fans can indulge in Pokemon-inspired burgers, adult beverages (or mocktails) and games. For those in the know of appropriate Pokemon lingo, the still-to-be-announced pop-up space will be divided into “7 regions” and include plenty of time to hunt, battle and catch … ’em all.

The event is open to fans of all ages, but anyone under 21 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $45 and come with your choice of burger and beverage. There will also be prizes awarded for the best dressed so come wearing the appropriate attire.

  1. $45 for a burger and a drink, plus whatever else is going on. Sounds like a money grab. Local bars run cool events all the time for much cheaper. Griffin Cider House did a “Wonka Bar” popup earlier this year and just had a special menu.
