The DCA confirmed to Scene that, weather depending, the new child-friendly spot should be open by mid-November. Details about the park’s size and what sort of playground toys will be included have yet to be revealed, but full renderings are set to be on display at the ground breaking event.
The new park is going to reside right behind the Great Lakes Science Center.
The free ground breaking ceremony starts at 2:30 p.m. and families are invited to attend.
