Cleveland Police Seeking Information Following Friday Night Quintuple Homicide on East 92nd Street

Four people and an unborn baby were killed last night at a home on East 92nd Street, and a 9-year-old girl was also shot and injured. Three of the victims were shot "execution style," and police have not yet homed in on a suspect for the crime.

This morning, Deputy Chief Ed Tomba described the tragic scene that unfolded last night: 41-year-old Sherita Johnson pulled into her driveway on East 92nd at around 7 p.m. last night and let her 9-year-old daughter out of the car to pick up clothes from inside the house. The young girl opened the door and encountered the suspect inside. The suspect fired two shots at her, then shot and killed Johnson in the car outside before fleeing.

The suspect had shot and killed a 60-year-old man, a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl inside the house before then, as well.

The 9-year-old girl is currently at Rainbow Children & Babies Hospital and listed in stable condition. She is the sole witness, and later told police that the gunman was wearing a mask.

Anyone with any relevant information about the crime should call homicide detectives at 216-623-5464.

“Today, with heavy hearts, my community mourns tragedy striking our neighborhood and knows more than ever the importance of community,” Councilman TJ Dow said.
