As part of the continuing battle for the moral ground in American politics, both sides like to churn the voting records of congressmen and senators through a partisan analysis and decide which of your representatives toe closest to the ideological line. The practice hasn’t been popular too much on the statewide level until recently.
Now, from the right side of the spectrum, the Beltway heavyweight American Conservative Union has released a ranking of the members of the Ohio General Assembly. According to the ACU’s rubric, the highest level a red-bleeding legislator can receive is “Defender of Liberty” status, an honor which comes with matching gold inscribed breastplate and pitchfork.
