Now that the newly elected county council is knee deep in their first public controversy, we here at Scene are going to humbly offer up a tip on public persona management.

If you’re trying to soft pedal some accusations that you’ve been less than legit in your government work, it’s probably not a good idea . . . no wait . . . scratch that . . . it’s absolutely not a good idea to mention, ever, Jimmy Dimora’s name in any context to the media. Why, you ask? Well, let’s look.

This week the PD ran a story targeting council member Sunny Simon. In light of the recent private meeting held by a group of Democrats, the paper found out that Simon had participated in a secret meeting when she was on South Euclid council.

  1. I am 53 years old. I have voted in every election I was eligible since the day I turned 18. I voted absentee for almost 15 years due to Military Service.
I graduated Brush High in So Useless.
    OOPS, South Euclid.
I know all kinds of names NOT to be dropped as an aquaintance.
THANK GOD I never had dealings with that two ton turd diplorra, oops, Dimorra.
Kick this bitch to the curb and let her lap dance somewhere you do not have to look pretty, like Dimorras bedroom.

  2. Relax people…it was only a meeting…everyone forgets we live in America…its OK for people of the same party to meet…not everyone in politics are crooks…
so chill and let things happen.

  3. If the PD doesn’t get off its binge of creating Page One stories about the County government it’s likely to be the reason for the reform’s failure.

C’mon, stop making big headlines and using large photos to make something look as if it’s criminal.

The PD editors have apparently figured they can’t continue to show Jimmy D on the front page so they slam innocuous Dale Miller, the Wally Cox (look it up, young ones) of city council. Miller isn’t a heavy, folks.

How about giving us real news, PD. Or are you back to the journalism that allowed all those criminals to waltz through decades.

  4. oooh. I have to DISagree with you on this one, Roldo.
Meeting in private to predetermine the outcome of an important vote for council is nOT ok. There is a very good reason the law states meetings should be public.
These 6 council people are NOT off to a good start – “watch your beginnings” is what I’ve always heard as good advice.
This is NOT a good beginning.
This is a STUPID is as STUPID does beginning.

and Greased Monkey – thank you for a good laugh after a long day!

  5. The people of this area continue to vote the Democrats in like idiots. They won’t even vote out the lunatic Dennis the Menace. It just blows my mind that this area, city, county have been controlled by Democrats, continued to decline and the people keep putting them in office. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a better result.

  6. Seriously…This IS an issue…It’s back to business as usual for closed door politics and it’s NOT RIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Who is this horse faced chunk anyway??
