The overpopulation of deer is a growing problem in Northeast Ohio. With decreasing habitat and increasing population, these animals often venture into suburban backyards and gardens to scavenge for food.

We know that deer can cause devastating car accidents, as well as damage to plants and shrubs. But, who would have thought that they could also cause chaos inside our own homes?

According to 19 Action News, a deer recently crashed through a window of a condo in Avon Lake. The stunned animal went on a rampage throughout the home, overturning furniture and leaving smears of blood in its wake.

Avon Lake police responded while the deer was still wreaking havoc in the condo, and opened a door so it could escape. The deer ran off, but left neighboring condo owners with a fear that they could be next.

  1. Freaken’ disasters with horns I tell ya… You see exploded carcases all over the major interstates…
Just TRY going through the Metorparks without seeing a dozen or so….

  2. Very few people have realized that deer are SUPER TASTY and should be utilized as a food source. They don’t have many natural predators in the area (since their population is obviously booming), so looks like humans have to step in and do the dirty work. Sign me up for venison everything please!
