Emmy Nominated Actor Spends Awards Night at Hilarities

You couldn’t keep most Emmy-nominated actors away from the cameras and red carpet. But one of them is skipping all that to spend his night in Cleveland.

Maurice Benard recently received his sixth Daytime Emmy Award Nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series; he snagged the actual award once before, for his portrayal of Michael “Sonny” Corinthos, Jr. on the long-running ABC soap opera General Hospital. Although the ceremony this is being held this Sunday, June 19 in Las Vegas, Benard will be in Cleveland for an appearance at Hilarities.
