If you’re walking through Tower City the next month and notice a small display of AC Milan soccer jerseys, don’t be alarmed. It’s just an exhibit by the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission in conjunction with Fashion Week Cleveland.

From the press release:

Fashion Week Cleveland is fast approaching and will powerfully highlight talented designers and emerging industry trends. The Sports & Fashion Exhibit, presented by the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission (GCSC), AC Milan and Dolce & Gabbana is now on display at Tower City Center’s Level 2 and will run during regular mall business hours through May 8th. The Exhibit reveals the creative connections between fashion designers like Dolce & Gabbanna who are producing fashionable sportswear collections for teams and sports personalities such as David Beckham. A Sports & Fashion lecture is scheduled outside the exhibit on May 8th at noon and will include a Dolce & Gabbana fashion book giveaway.

Honestly, the exhibit is flimsy, uninformative, and quite boring. Hopefully the “lecture” on May 8th is more interesting.

  1. Just saw the exhibit today. I thought it was pretty cool to see the Milan jerseys. Soccer isn’t talked about nearly enough in the city of Cleveland. Nice to see the sports commission building such a big youth soccer tournament!
