A few weeks back we mentioned the proposed statue honoring late Cleveland comics author Harvey Pekar, who died in July 2010. The “Harvey Pekar Library Statue: Comics As Art & Literature Desk” will sit outside the bookstore in the Cleveland Heights/University Heights Library, one of Pekar’s favorite haunts.
Now the Pekar Estate has launched its promised Kickstarter campaign to raise the necessary $30,000 by December 5. And how’s it going so far?
