Disgusting.
I have gone to well over 20 games this season already, but it would have to be game 7 of the World Series for me to spend anywhere close to that much on a ticket. $102 for two people to sit in shitty upper reserve seats is ridiculous.
Please…every one chill out. Boston charges $52 for standing room only and the Tigers tickets are $10 more than ours (so still probably the cheapest in baseball). You complain when we suck and you complain when we make playoffs. You pay for what you get. You want to continue to pay $15 for tickets, then go see the AAA Clippers.
My wife and I are lifelong Tribe fans and we just bought Field Box tickets for both the Wild Card game and ALDS. It is not lost on me that we are CLEVELAND fans and that IF we make it into the playoffs, that there is no guarantee that we will be making it back into the playoffs next year (or ANY year after that for that matter). In my opinion, the only things in my life that I truly regret are those things that I truly wanted to do, but that I didn’t do because I talked myself out of doing them. In this case, I truly want to be at the ballpark to cheer the Tribe on through the playoffs, and I am willing to pay what they’re asking in order to be there. I respect those who don’t, but, at least in this instance, I don’t want to end up being the guy saying, “I wish I had”, rather than “I’m glad I did”. This could be our year… GO TRIBE!!!
I would much rather enjoy the game for a cheaper price and not buy concessions than buy a more expensive price and be convinced to buy concessions. Ticket prices were way different last year and was alot more reasonable. Sure the concessions prices were more expensive but id rather just eat around downtown than buy a 5 dollar hot dog or whatever.
I’d rather spend my money to watch the Indians battle in the postseason than to save a little money to see them lose. These are playoff tickets people and they cost less than Browns tickets.
I’ve only gone to three games this year because I would rather save my money and stay home to watch the game on TV, but I’ve already purchased tix for the wild card, and home games 1 and 2 of the divisional series. Yes the tickets have been grossly inflated in cost, but this is the postseason, a place the Tribe hasn’t sniffed since 2007. I view it as worth it, and if I really wanted to go cheap I could have just purchased SRO tickets.
Prices are set by Major League Baseball, not the Indians, for the playoffs.
interesting
Supply and demand. They don’t make the playoffs very much. They probably could have charged double that. But then there would have been 120 people in the stands instead of 150. The down side to that is that would have sold like 30 less hotdogs.
