First the t-shirt, now the burger.

Nothing says hero like having a hamburger designed in your honor, and that’s just what chef Chris Hodgson has planned for Charles Ramsey. Starting tomorrow at Hodge’s Restaurant, diners will be able to take a big bite out of a hometown hero – figuratively speaking, of course.

The Ramsey Burger is an 8-ounce Certified Angus Beef patty with bread and butter pickles, lettuce, secret sauce, onion, cheddar cheese and a toasted sesame bun. The cost is $12, which includes tater tots.

Ramsey, who is employed as a dishwasher at Hodge’s, has been placed on paid leave so as to not invite too many crazed admirers at the downtown restaurant, according to chef-owner Hodgson.

  1. Isn’t there something missing from this item? Something like: “Proceeds from the sale of this burger will go to the rescued girls’ fund”? Or even to give Ramsey some money. Hodge’s Restaurant seems to just view all this as a way to exploit it for themselves.

  2. Chris Hodgson already said all the Independant restaurants are putting something together for Charles Ramsey, He also had shirts created for sale with all profits going to the girls. Ramsey is also on PAID leave. How much should one person do?

  3. Okay, judif, perhaps I was being unfair. You’re right, the t-shirts are benefiting the victims. I retract my statement. Apologies to the restaurant. I posted in haste.

  4. These idiots obviously have not been watching the news. Ramsey didn’t do anything but eat his McDonald’s while another man rescued Amanda Berry.

  5. It’s great that so many Clevelanders are coming together to help these girls out. C-Town is coming back in a big way, I feel like we’re finally out of the dark ages.
