[image-1]A reportedly stern representative for the Cleveland Indians told Cleveland.com that Charlie Sheen would not be throwing out a World Series first pitch.
The Indians official gave no explanation, but the denial flies in the face of the social media agitators and Petition.orgyers who have been clamoring for a pitch from the actor who portrayed “Wild Thing” Ricky Vaughn in the 1989 Cleveland Indians classic Major League. (We ought to reiterate that you can see Major League for $1 at Cleveland Cinemas on Monday.)
And as you probably saw, Sheen was game.
Major League
continues to be the gift
that keeps on giving!if called upon,
I'd be honored. pic.twitter.com/ijjAU0Qvbw— Charlie Sheen (@charliesheen) October 20, 2016
But now that the Indians have slammed the door on that possibility — at least for now — fans are agitating for other celebrities. In terms of local stars, a Cleveland.com poll has Indians home run champ Jim Thome and LeBron James as top vote-getters. Poor Jose Mesa is in last place by a mile.
And unexpectedly, a vocal contingent is now stumping for drummer John Adams, one of the most loyal fans in franchise history. He’s been playing his bass drum in the bleachers at just about every home game since 1973. Adams has already thrown two first pitches — he’s even had a bobblehead day in his honor — so this wouldn’t be unheard of.
A Facebook group dedicated to the cause has asked that fans reach out to the Indians front office to let them know that “we want John.”
A Facebook group stumping for a first pitch from former Cavaliers guard Bob Sura has not — we’re very sorry to report — yet been mobilized.

It should be Michael Stanley. A true Tribe fan.
Lebron
Former players will reportedly get the assignment…..which probably means the small pool of individuals who work the annual fantasy camp, lend a hand during spring training and make appearances during the regular season.
There’s now a petition for John Adams! Get signin’ Tribe fans!

This article made me LOL so bad! I love Scene!!!
LeBron will be getting his ring next door at the same time. He’s not available.
I guess everyone forgot that time Lebron abandoned the city to go party with his friends. He doesn’t deserve to throw the first pitch. A championship after you were a piece of garbage doesn’t suddenly make you not a piece of garbage.
