The last time we were in the nation’s capitol, Dick Goddard was still arm wrestling OSU linebackers for fun between weather reports (i.e. six months ago). But from out here in the heartland, it looks like things are getting wild up on the Hill. You know the political discourse has gone south when people on the same side of polarizing issues can’t even recognize one another.
Such was the scene at Ohio Rep and House king of the hill John Boehner’s office this week. According to the Dayton Daily News, six anti-abortion activists were arrested outside the pro-life Boehner’s office for unlawful assembly. That’s right. Read that sucker over again — little bit of cognitive dissonance going on there: usually anti-abortion activists are getting arrested in the offices of pro-choice politicians. Not the other way around.
