My brother-in-law is from Springfield, Mass, and is pretty much a worthless jamoke. But I still felt sorry for him after I heard about him getting punched in the mouth for wearing a Yankee cap at Fenway.
Been to a few of games there. Like Wrigley, it’s one of the coolest ballparks. You’re right on top of the action. Too many drunken Irish thugs and obnoxious frat boys, though. Boston, like Chicago, has always been full of haters. So I am not surprised there are still problems, now that Agent Orange has made it okay to hate again.
I hear the joint has been spiffed up in recent years, but what I remember most are the rodents. A couple of those rats were the size of mature gray kittens…but not nearly as cute.
