The sound of fighter jets buzzing the downtown airspace is the surest reminder that Labor Day is upon Cleveland. It’s an annoying if sometimes welcome noise — maybe you’re really looking forward to the Blue Angels, or at least really looking forward to three days without your coworkers —  at least for those of us who know what the hell is going on. For anyone new to town, or generally unfamiliar with the timing of the Cleveland national air show, the arrival of war planes above the city skyline this week and the attendant worry of WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING might be a little scary, but it’s pretty funny to us. Thankfully, some of those worries made their way to social media so we could enjoy them and share them with you.

The air show, if you’re curious, runs September 2nd through 4th at Burke Lakefront Airport.

  1. Are these people really all newbies? Or just plain dumb and unaware of Real Life? Same shit happened last year, and same dumb twats twitted the same dumb tweets, because they can.

Know what? This stupid shit never seemed to happen before the advent of social media. The more technology ramps up, the dumber it allows more people to become. .Get your heads out of your asses and your faces away from your phones, folks. Maybe if you talked to other human beings once in a while, you might know what is happening, instead of being so “terrorized.” Christ on a cracker!

  2. These folks must get really mystified, ornery and baffled when fireworks light the sky on the Fourth of July.
