Local High School Teacher's Erotic Fiction Raises Questions

Carol Ann Eastman, an English teacher at North Canton Hoover High School, is garnering some unwanted attention after her erotic novel hit shelves.

In "Schooled," Eastman authors a red hot litany of encounters with students. She published the novel under the pen name Deena Bright.

Sample the salaciousness for yourself with a peek into the book.

WEWS ran the story earlier this week, noting the mix of emotions among the school district's parents and community members:

"That's inappropriate. I don't think I'd write about that whether it was fiction or truth," said Sharon Turkall, outside of a North Canton book store, which doesn't sell "Schooled."

Others countered that Eastman did nothing wrong.

"What she does on her own time within reason, I guess, I don't see anything wrong with that," said Jim Lehman, of Massillon.

What's your take? Is this out of line for a high school teacher or no big deal?
