In "Schooled," Eastman authors a red hot litany of encounters with students. She published the novel under the pen name Deena Bright.
Sample the salaciousness for yourself with a peek into the book.
WEWS ran the story earlier this week, noting the mix of emotions among the school district's parents and community members:
"That's inappropriate. I don't think I'd write about that whether it was fiction or truth," said Sharon Turkall, outside of a North Canton book store, which doesn't sell "Schooled."Others countered that Eastman did nothing wrong.
"What she does on her own time within reason, I guess, I don't see anything wrong with that," said Jim Lehman, of Massillon.
What's your take? Is this out of line for a high school teacher or no big deal?
