Florida, you will have to step your game up today.
Reports this morning from Ashtabula say a fatal fire at the Parkhaven Nursing Home was caused by a clandestine meth lab located in a room on the second floor of the facility. Yes, you read that right: a meth lab in a nursing home.
Parkhaven’s new slogan: We offer an at-home feel for your loved ones, bingo, endless supplies of juice and applesauce, shuffleboard, and meth.
One man, 31-year-old Shaun Warrens, has died from injuries sustained in the fire. Four others were taken to the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Details are unavailable so far as to Warrens’ involvement in the blaze or meth lab. Here’s to a swift and healthy recovery to the others.

Meth is the most dangerous drug out there and can be manufactured by any bug-eyed hill-billy with a stove and some cold pills. Cooking Meth became a means of a very big income for many dysfunctional addicts and drug dealers. Now that the cartels have moved into this very lucrative drug business, the Meth-labs throughout the USA have been given some very dangerous support fromsome very big money. They can cook meth right along side the road in the country where the smell will not be detected. We have all but given up trying to find the labs and the money behind them because it is so primitive and so dangerous and so costly. It is much easier to bust some old hippie smoking some medical weed in the Metro Parks.
My plan would be to go back through the ‘gateway to stronger drugs’ by seeking the addicts of all other drugs–including alcohol–to go back through and their history of drug abuse and be given good pot for free and try to help them quit the real bad stuff which creates so many social problems and killings and death. If all the alcoholics and drug addicts were pot heads would we not be better off?
