Cleveland is battling with Charlotte, Minneapolis, and St. Louis for the right to host the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

The New York Times took a look at the contenders and broke down the pros and cons.

  1. no cleveland does not have a chance, first of all where are they going to meet, in Joe’s Backroom, yeah at the IX center then come all the way back down town to goto macdonalds, that’s not open. how do you expect something like that to happen, when the city can’t even build the med market, after all these years.
    cleveland is full of a lot off hot air, that cool’s really fast!

  2. I hate to admit it but I do not believe we will get it either. Cleveland really needs to step up its game if it wants to host affairs such as this.
