What began as a routine traffic stop for improper signaling on the Ohio Turnpike, led to one of the larger recent drug busts in Summit County.

When Ohio State Highway Patrol first approached the pulled-over Chevy Impala, troopers caught a highly-concentrated whiff of marijuana. And while much of the country has legalized recreational marijuana — Ohio only recently allowed medical marijuana — the scent was enough for the troopers to have to investigate.

Incredibly, the search and seizure of the car yielded 22 pounds of weed and also prescription pills, enough to total about $60,000.

The two men in the car, both in their late 30s, are now at Summit County Jail facing drug-related felonies.

  1. What’s the going rate for a pound of weed these days?
And WTF is “improper signaling” anyway?
    Inquiring minds wanna know!
Don’t want to be pulled over for that type of bullshit.

    Chuckles the Clown

  2. Cannabis has been in continuous use by humankind for over 5,000 years. Before the government Reefer Madness campaign of lies and deceit began cannabis was widely used for recreation and medicine and was well understood for its many medicinal benefits and properties. Pharmaceutical companies including Bristol-Myers Squibb and Eli Lilly used cannabis in medicines widely sold in U.S. pharmacies to treat epilepsy, pain, insomnia, migraines, glaucoma, and rheumatism. Between 1840 and 1900, U.S. scientific journals published hundreds of articles touting the therapeutic benefits of cannabis.

Medical cannabis is legal in 29 US states. Cannabis is completely legal in California, Massachusetts, Maine, Nevada, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Washington DC.

Enough with the lies just fully Legalize!
