Update II: U.S. District Judge Gregory Frost ruled today that Ohio can begin killing people again, even though he has concerns.
Executions had been put on an informal hold as courts ruled whether the state followed its own guidelines in lethal injections. There had been some, uh, minor hiccups, including a guy who survived an execution.
Mark Wiles is scheduled to be executed on April 18.
Frost said today he is “admittedly skeptical” about Ohio’s ability to carry the execution out properly, but said he’s ruling in favor of the state, while warning officials to get it right.
“They must recognize the consequences that will ensue if they fail to succeed in conducting a constitutionally sound execution of Wiles,” Frost wrote.

Update: The Supreme Court has ruled that, much like a 15-year-old boy left home alone with unfettered and unsupervised access to the internet, the state of Ohio can’t be trusted.

Well, what state is the best at killing people? Some states don’t have the death sentence, right?
Texas and Ohio do and it seems we should be proficient enough now..at killing people. I mean it is not rocket science. The firing squad with all guns aimed at the head…you can have some of them shooting blanks so that no one man is ever given total responsibility for the kill. Injections are sloppy. Veins are often hard to find. Not so with the firing squad. The head is easily found with even our more primitive guns. But if the death penalty was given to more types of people than just murderers, maybe it would serve as a bigger deterant.
Censored?
OK, I’ll try again here to explain how I have an idea which will reduce car accidents and the deaths which now are pretty high.
Logic goes like this: Why do people get killed while riding in a car?
Answer: Accidents
Why do we have accidents?
Driving mistakes caused by human error
Why so much error?
Number one error: Not having assured clear braking distance
Switching lanes without looking
How are people warned by other drivers?
Brake lights and blinkers
How can we improve the brake lights or blinkers so that the warnings are more clear?
Answer and idea for invention or discovery: Brake lights to also have sign message between the brake lights: ‘I’m Slowing down up here’ or ‘Give me more space please’ these mesages can be preprogramed and can be released by a potentiometer (SP) which would gage the brightness and the message with how hard you pushed the brake pedal. If you slamed on the brakes it would give the strongest and brightest message possible “Stay Back!” or “Get Back, Honkey Cat!” I believe that by making the stopping warnings more graphic and understood many lives and injuries can be stopped.
Then there is also the turn signals. With the flash aspect a different type of creativity can be used..
