Four days after his acquittal, Cleveland Police Officer Michael Brelo got into a violent altercation with his brother Mark in Bay Village. He’s now being charged with assault.
The Bay Village police picked up a warrant at the Rocky River Municipal Court this morning, according to the court, and Brelo is expected to turn himself in later today.
No more info yet — Detective Kevin Krolkosky, of the Bay Village PD, doesn’t start his shift until 1 p.m. — but the case is viewable on Rocky River Municipal Court’s website (under the Public Access tab):
From the complaint:
“On or about May 27, 2015, … Michael J. Brelo did knowingly cause or attempt to cause physical harm to Mark R. Brelo, to wit: by striking/punching Mark R. Brelo in the head, face, and body. Probable cause was established through interviews with Mark R. Brelo and Michael J. Brelo and observing visible injuries to Mark R. Brelo.”

Wow. His own brother turned him in.
Well, have this chicken come home to roost?
This spring is wound WAY too tight….
I wonder if he remembers this incident.
WOW…who would have ever guessed this guy has anger issues!!! DUH!!!
I doubt these two turned themselves in and they were both charged which means Bay Village is just following the Ohio that says arrest is the preferred outcome of domestic violence regardless of a willing victim when there is evidence of violence. Shame two brothers can’t have a fight without the government stepping in to make it all better,
the headlines should not just single him out him and his brother were both arrested, and if you look at the docket, his brother has a history…not that that makes any fighting right, but come one people…sibling fight..no need to get the police involved, geesh!
…….another Frank Jackson success story.
Brothers will b brothers!!!
