If you are planning to drive in to downtown Cleveland on Friday, don’t. At least, not if you can help it.
With the Progressive Field gates slated to open at 2 p.m for the home opener., first pitch planned for 4:10 p.m., and the Cavs vs. Celtics match scheduled for 7:30 p.m., downtown Cleveland will be nothing short of bumper-to-bumper cluster f%$! all day long.
Parking, too, will be pretty much non-existent, unless you’re willing to dig deep into your pockets or barter your first born child.
Fox 8 offers the complete list of no-parking zones:
East 9th Street – Euclid Avenue to Carnegie Avenue
Huron Road – Ontario Street to Prospect Avenue
Prospect Avenue – Ontario Street to East 14th Street
Erie Court – East 9th Street to East 14th Street
Sumner Court – East 9th Street to East 14th Street
East 4th Street – Huron Road to Prospect Avenue
East 2nd Street – High Street to Prospect Avenue
Bolivar Road – East 9th St to East 7th Street
East 6th Street – Prospect Avenue to Eagle Avenue
Our suggestion? Ditch the car and employ some of the city’s alternative modes of transportation if you ‘re planning to head downtown.
