Former Common Pleas Judge Timothy McGinty will be the new Prosecutor for Cuyahoga County. The race had been trending that way, McGinty had a truckload of cash to spend, and that’s how things shook out.

Stephanie Hall made a surprising and impressive finish in second place.

Former Cleveland law director Robert Triozzi was further down the list, and his night was a double downer because he not only lost, he got sucker punched in the face by a mentally ill man.

Via Cleveland.com:

Triozzi, 55, was greeting voters near the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Community Center on Lee Road just before 5 p.m. when a man sucker-punched him in the face, leaving him with a bloody nose.

“It was just a random act. These things happen. Fortunately, I’m big enough to take a punch.”

The suspect didn’t make a scene besides landing the knuckle sandwich, and waited around for the cops to show up.

Triozzi was like… whatever dude, did a fly land on my face? Did you feel that breeze?

  1. Crazy people, crazy world. Behavior is the by-product of thought. Bad thoughts, bad behavior. Replace bad thoughts with at least acceptable ones and heal the world.
