RTA again? RTA again.

But this time, everyone’s favorite uppercutting public transportation isn’t to blame.

Monday morning, a man in his twenties got on the No. 48 bus, according to Cleveland.com. And he failed to pay, which is a no-no. The driver, who’d been with RTA since 1995, stopped the freeloader when he attempted to exit the bus and asked him to pay. Again, the answer was no.

The driver then hit the restroom, avoiding confrontation, but when he was done using the facilities, the passenger was waiting, cup of coffee in hand, and hurled the hot liquid at the driver’s face.

Details beyond that are sketchy right now as everyone waits for RTA’s official report, but the driver was treated at the Cleveland Clinic.

The lesson, as always: don’t ride or work in public transit.

  1. wondering what facilities they’re talking about? the bus had a bathroom on it? anyhow yeah i agree with ^^ this SOB needed an uppercut as well. and handcuffs.

  2. Maybe RTA drivers need to be allowed to wear firearms openly, as bus drivers did in the segregated, Jim Crow South. Public transit was a lot more civilized, back in the bad old days. An armed society is a polite society.

    Chuckles the Clown

  3. I’m sure if the driver would have struck back, it would have resulted in a lawsuit and a bunch of bad publicity against RTA. How about this guy gets banned from the RTA for a year or two until he can learn to respect the drivers?

  4. Inform this person that they are banned from the RTA for a year. If they are sighted entering the bus, the driver can calmly and quietly contact the police, hopefully by saying something discreet like “I have a code 49” into the radio. Then, the police can pick up this person, take them off the bus, and issue the appropriate penalty. Change the name of the code each time after this person is arrested, and escalate the punishment each time as well until they get the message. Then, plaster this story all over the city, so people learn what happens when you act like this on the RTA.

  5. This person shouldn’t be allowed to ever ride the bus again, RTA, or any bus.
Maybe they ought to put the drivers in safety cages. Seeing as how they’ll never let them carry weapons. The powers that be doesn’t want anyone to have guns, except cops, military, guard, and Cartels.
The jails are overflowing with non-violent “offenders”. Meanwhile, deserving pieces like the one that assaulted the RTA driver, get to reak havoc on the innocent and hardworking public.
It is all part of the master plan.Keep the masses distracted from the real enemy which is about to stick us all in FEMA camps, while we’re squabbling over a bus fare’s worth of change.
The solution would be for every one to carry firearms, and be allowed to protect themselves regardless of who they are protecting themselves from, whether it be a female bus rider, or LAPD. As well as they should abide by the same laws. Then maybe we could weed out some of these wastes of oxygen, old west style.

  6. It would have to be implemented using the honor system. Like sex offenders that are supposed too adhere to certain rules and restrictions that limit their physical boundaries, dangerous pieces like this one can’t , nor should be monitored per se. But if they are caught in a prohibited area, they will be punished too the full extent of the law.
If people had to risk serious consequences for their actions, they might reconsider inflicted pain on an innocent bystander.
The world as a whole has got backwards priorities.
