Sandusky County Prosecutor Tom Stierwalt is not pursuing charges against State Highway Patrol Officer Ricky Vitte Jr., who recently admitted to masturbating with a boy.
According to police, Vitte admitted to watching porn and masturbating with a boy five years ago. He told his wife, who was later interviewed by police. Vitte said he was teaching the boy about sex. Stierwalt has said that Vitte could use that educational angle as a possible defense, which is at least one reason why he is not pressing charges.
The Sandusky Register published an article that elaborates on Vitte’s history of domestic violence – with interviews conducted by police with family members and others.
“I can’t imagine a situation where that would be appropriate in our culture,” clinical counselor Marlene Boas told the paper.

DST — I called the number you provided to the Toledo post he works at, and everyone was very vague. No one would even tell me if he was still employed there. I was referred to their Columbus office that handles such inquires. Then I tried another number in Columbus, and still no one will tell me if he is still employed w the State Patrol. I hope he never pulls me over when I am driving with my two little boys.
The Sandusky County prosecutor’s lame excuse is that the guy MIGHT present a defense to the accusation? That makes NO sense. All criminals mount some sort of defense. That a criminal MIGHT mount a defense is certainly no logical reason for the prosecutor not to charge him with a crime.
Sounds like the Sandusky County Prosecutor might be a closet pedophile himself. As usually pedophiles protect their own. And how is he still a state trooper?!?! Maybe the feds need to step in and investigate whether there is a pedophile ring running in this state with prosecutors and state patrol heads involved. Sickening!
