Got a question?

Cleveland is a dynamic city — and Northeast Ohio a dynamic region. Lots of things move around here, sputtering and clanking and buzzing with growth. The sum of these parts is a city always in motion, always changing and redefining its past, present and future. With all of that hustle and bustle, you’re bound to wind up with a few unanswered questions.

We’d like to help out.

Over the next few weeks, get in touch and submit your FAQs or Not-So-FAQs about Cleveland. We want it all: the granular, the sweeping, the tongue-in-cheek, the unexpected, the forward-thinking, the historically curious, the political, and on and on. Our staff will get the answers for ya — signed, sealed and delivered in the inaugural Scene Answers Issue in late June.
Check out Washington City Paper‘s issues for examples of the questions they’ve confronted. Examples: Where can I get a $2 or $3 beer in D.C.? What’s the history of the houses in Lafayette Square Park? May one raise bees on one’s roof in D.C.?

  1. The west-side of Cleveland WAS Native American held land [okay ALL of America WAS Native American held land]. The west-bank got a very late start, while the east-bank exploded/exploited development. That being said, why does it still seem that development STOPS at the river?! The west-bank is ripe for development as is the ENTIRE west-side. The population-dense Gold Coast/Cudell areas “The Shoppes on Clifton” are stalled, while Gordon Arts Square continues its growth spurt. Hello Councilman…

  2. Does Cleveland have a CopBlock Chapter? What ever hapeenedto the cops that killed that 12 year old?

  3. Why is public auditorium so seldom used as a music venue when it in the past played host to the greatest shows coming into Cleveland (beatles, stones… ect)? Where is the best view to view the cityscape/lake around town?

  4. is 1526 west 25th ever going to get developed? what is going to happen to bounce?

  5. Question: Why doesn’t Scene have any people of color or females among its ranks of staff writers, editors, and owners?

  6. Will the pot holes be repaired in time for the RNC? The clock is ticking, and our resources are tied up with Public Square. Don’t forget that tourists will also be taking in the sights around “Greater Cleveland” (a designation for taxing communities only) and driving into neighborhoods with dangerously large pot holes as well as newly-designated sinkholes!

  7. Why hasn’t Scene hired Arthur Chu do any cover stories? He’s so much more intelligent than that fucking asshole Sam Allard.
